Supporting a Grieving Friend

Grief is the natural response to loss. The grieving process includes shock, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Those stages look different for each person experiencing grief. The Dougy Center is an organization that educates about and supports children through grief.

Sometimes it is difficult to know how to support a friend experiencing grief. Well-intended people can cause pain with their words and actions (on top of the pain the griever is already feeling).
