The boys upper school cross country team traveled to Huntsville Saturday to compete in the Southern Showcase, one of the largest meets in the southeast. The varsity placed 11th of 33 teams in the championship race and was led by the 10th place finish of Luke Thompson. The JV also competed admirably against a combination of JV and varsity athletes in the crimson race, placing 12th of 48 teams. Ben Blankinship led the JV with his 59th place finish.
The team battled through the hills and mud of east Tennessee at the 49th Trailblazer Invitational at Daniel Boone High School. The Eagle harriers captured the victory over Daniel Boone in a tiebreaker. The meet is the longest running meet in the state, and BA joined a long list of top programs that have won the meet through the years. Congratulations!
