Welcome Parents! As part of BA’s dedicated commitment to supporting our families, we aim to provide educational content that complements and contributes to your unique, parenting journey. Bearing this in mind and recognizing that parenting looks different for individual students, family environments, and stages of life, we have created "ParentEd".
ParentEd is a video series of experts speaking directly to BA parents as their audience, addressing a wide range of relevant topics to help develop each whole person.
While many of these videos coincide with live events held on campus, all of this content is exclusive to BA families. We know that our families are busy, and we value your time! This video platform ensures you have access to this resource at any time you find most convenient or necessary.
We hope that you enjoy ParentEd!
Technology & Social Media
If you missed our Partnering with Parents event focused on technology and social media, please take the time to view this valuable recording of the program. The world of technology is ever-evolving, and the children we are parenting and educating are being brought up in a digital age. Director of Instructional Technology Warren Bezuidenhout, Ed.D offered information about how to navigate the world of technology with your child and family.
During his presentation, Dr. Bezuidenhout addressed the following questions:
- How much do or should teenagers use technology?
- What apps should I know more about?
- Should I secure my home internet to protect my child?
- How do I talk to my child about their phone use?
- Is technology/social media affecting my child’s mental health?
Please join us for future Partnering with Parents events. Attending allows you to engage with the speaker and receive handouts with helpful information.
