ENCOURAGER CAMPAIGN
We have a much-loved tradition of inviting our BA Grandparents to write notes of encouragement to their students as they prepare for their first-semester exams. A letter with a pre-printed note card(s) and a postage-paid return envelope will be sent to grandparents in October.
Because we know that not every student has a grandparent who is able to participate, there is also an option for a special guest to send the note of encouragement and/or attend Grandparents' Day.
To ensure your student does not miss out on this special tradition, please check the address we have on file for their grandparents and/or provide the information for their special guest. You can find and update this information at the link below.

MARCH 28, 2025
10:00 AM - Check-in in the Fine Arts Lobby (valet parking in front of the Fine Arts building)
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Open House and Refreshments in the Dining Hall
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Program in the Kennedy Gymnasium (doors will open at 10:45 AM)
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM - Students are dismissed with grandparents

WHERE DO I PARK? |

Valet parking is available beginning at 10:00 AM in front of the Fine Arts Building accessed by the South Entrance off of Granny White Pike. Accessible and Disabled parking is also available. Please see the attached campus map for more information. |
WHAT ENTRANCE DO I USE? |
You will enter the school at the Fine Arts Lobby accessed by the South Entrance off of Granny White Pike. Doors open at 10:00 AM. Due to security protocols, all guests will take place in the Fine Arts Lobby. |
IS REGISTRATION NECESSARY? I've never registered before. |
Due to security protocols, all guest check-ins will take place in the Fine Arts Lobby. All guests must pre-register by April 5. You can register at the link below. |
WHEN WILL I SEE MY GRANDCHILD? |
Your grandchild will join you in the gym for the program! Grandchildren can sit with grandparents. |
WILL i GET TO GO TO CLASS WITH MY GRANDCHILD? |
Due to the nature of middle and upper school schedules with students changing classrooms and teachers, you will not join your student for class. However, there is time after the program for you to visit any classrooms and meet teachers with your grandchild. |
CAN I TOUR THE SCHOOL? |
Yes! During the Open House hour, we will offer guided tours. Visit the BA Dining Hall upon arrival to learn more about tours. Of course, after the program, you can get a personalized tour from your student! |
WiLL THERE BE REFRESHMENTS? |
Yes! During the Open House hour, refreshments will be served in the BA Dining Hall. Grab a cup of coffee and see all that BA has to offer! |
WIll seating be availAble during the open house hour? |
Yes! There will be seating in the BA Dining Hall and benches throughout the upper school. |
WHAT's NEW ABOUT GRANDPARENTS' DAY? |
We've reimagined Grandparents' Day to offer you a greater glimpse into the life of a BA student and the opportunity to explore their world. |
When can i get a seat for the program? |
Doors open to the Kennedy Gymnasium at 10:45 AM. |
What happens after the program? |
After the program, students are dismissed for the day! However, the campus will remain open until 12:30 PM so you can take the time to
Many families choose to go out for lunch together. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby! We recommend that you consider making a reservation if this is something you're family would like to do together as restaurants in Brentwood tend to be very busy during lunch. |
