We are passionate about Christian Life at BA because of the opportunity to sow small seeds that can transform a student’s life. Our hope is that Christian Life extends beyond a course, or a chapel, but is something that reflects a real, personal relationship with Jesus, and is lived out in our daily lives.

What is it like to be a Brentwood Academy student?

The answer can be found on the faces of students engaged in all aspects of student life—learning both inside and outside the classrooms, visiting with friends in the hallways and around the campus, participating in athletic events as a team member or fan, sharing small and large group devotions and Bible study, or enjoying the varied fine arts opportunities.

CHRISTIAN LIFE

A Christ-centered education provides an excellent educational experience with an eternal perspective. Faculty and staff model the integration of faith into every endeavor, using their ability to teach, coach, and build relationships with students as a vehicle to introduce them to and encourage them in their walk with Christ. While at BA, students will have the opportunity to grow in their ability to discern the truth as they are guided by faculty and staff committed to encouraging them in their walk with Jesus.

SEMINAR

Providing the opportunity for students to develop the skill of confidently speaking in public, many classes at BA routinely utilize seminars that require students to participate in an active discussion with their classmates. Students practice making a claim, supporting the claim with evidence, and analyzing that evidence while making a connection to their classmates’ previous comments. The skill of participating in a seminar, beginning at BA in sixth grade and continuing through graduation, prepares our students to excel in any future college or career setting by developing their confidence to think quickly while logically and persuasively articulating an idea.
