FURTHERING VOCAL MUSIC EXPERIENCE

The Academy Juniors is Brentwood Academy's extracurricular, auditioned vocal ensemble for middle school chorus students. The performance group is intended for students who wish to further their vocal music experience and training. Students will develop important skills, strengthen their voice, garner practical experience with singing in an ensemble, as well as the wonderful opportunity of performing for many audiences throughout the school year.

Auditions for the Academy Juniors are held at the beginning of each school year.

“For me, singing is a form of prayer. There’s emotion involved, the whole body, and it becomes prayer and praise. I also love when students discover the wonderful, beautiful gifts that God gave them that maybe they didn’t realize that they had. Some of my best theology I learned from the church choir, and I bring that experience into my teaching at BA.”

MEET THE FACULTY

ALLY HARD


ALLY HARD

Ally is the director for the middle school and upper school chorus as well as the Academy Juniors at Brentwood Academy. Ally holds a Bachelor’s of Music from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music where she spent much time studying both classical and jazz voice as well as singing in multiple choral ensembles. She loves teaching technique sharing her love of music with her students as they continue to grow in skill and appreciation of the arts.

Ally is a member of the Nashville Symphony Chorus and previously sang with the Houston Symphony Chorus. For several years, she was a staff Soprano Section Leader for the choir at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
