CHAPEL AT BA
We want every student to have the opportunity to experience God. Once a week our middle school and upper school will gather for separate chapel experiences. Middle schoolers will attend chapel in their respective dens. During that time, engaging speakers deliver impactful and age-appropriate messages. Upper school chapel also has dedicated time for corporate worship.
DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN LIFE
FREDDIE SCOTT
“It’s an honor to serve as your Director of Christian Life. Here at BA, we are committed to seeing your children grow in their spiritual maturity by experiencing and expressing God’s unconditional love. Our approach is simple. We want to make Jesus relevant in the lives of our students -- to answer their questions and address the common problems that students face daily in an effort to make the Bible both integral and applicable.
Our vision is to allow every student to know the depth of God’s love for them and to develop a biblical worldview that empowers them to engage and transform the world around them to the glory of God. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in cultivating the next generation to make Jesus known through His people.” - Freddie Scott
In the upper school, students gather weekly for a time of corporate worship and learning. Students will hear messages divided into sermon series that are relevant to their lives. Afterward, messages are often revisited during discussion time in advisory group meetings.
DIRECTOR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL CHRISTIAN LIFE
JD BINGER
“My hope and prayer is for every Brentwood Academy Middle School student to know God’s Heart and His Word. During the course of the school year students will grow in a more vibrant understanding of who God is and what He is calling them to do. We accomplish this through daily diving into Scripture, weekly chapels, intentional relationships, and integrated biblical curriculum.
As students grow in knowledge of the Word, it is my hope that they’ll form a robust understanding of who God is and who He says they are. By anchoring their identities in Christ, they will be strengthened and equipped to be salt and light to a world in need.” - JD Binger
Students in the middle school gather weekly for chapel in the Den. During this time, students hear relevant messages that are appropriate for their age and stage of life. The messages, often delivered by faculty members or students' peers, are presented in series as we move through the school year. Afterward, students will spend time discussing the messages while in advisory groups.
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by PRAYER and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
- Philippians 4:5-6
