MORE THAN DANCE CLASS

In addition to dance class offerings, Brentwood Academy is home to the elite dance team, the Academy Dancers. Advanced dancers who want to further their dance experience and training may audition for the Academy Dancers in the spring of each year. Both the upper school and middle school Academy Dancers train year-round and perform at football and basketball games, pep rallies, and the annual BA dance show. The team also participates in regional and national competitions, recently having brought home their ninth National Championship.

MEET THE FACULTY


ROBYNE KENNEDY


ROBYNE KENNEDY

Robyne is entering her 17th year as our BA Dance Director and has taught dance in middle Tennessee for 23 years. Apart from teaching dance classes, she is director of the acclaimed Brentwood Academy Dancers, BA’s competitive dance group. With eight TSSAA state titles and ten national championships, Robyne produces excellence in dancers that far exceeds the high school level. Many of the dancers coached, led, and mentored by Robyne continue to strong collegiate dance programs across the country.

Robyne’s expertise lies in building strong programs and developing equally strong dancers, both physically and emotionally. Her passion is recognizing dancers’ goals and dreams, training them for success, and watching them reach their full potential.

She is a mom to two boys, Jackson and Colton.
